IT Diploma training re-scheduled

On Tuesday 8th July, the Guardian reported that a sixth form college was told at the last minute by Edexcel that training for staff in the teaching of the new flagship Diploma courses was cancelled.

An update on the Edexcel specifications for the first phase of the Principal Learning.  Following a final editing and quality check,  all versions of the specifications for Principal Learning will be published in hard copy at the end of June 2008.

Diploma awarding dates and assessment availabilityLevel 1 and 2 Diplomas in the first five lines of learning will be awarded in Summer 2009. Level 3 Diplomas will be awarded in summer 2010. In line with these dates, selected principal learning units will be available for assessment in January 2009, with all units becoming available in June 2009.
