Intention to Offer form 2008 RTF (336 KB) 29/04/2008

It is our intention to support consortia and centres delivering the Diploma for 14-19 year olds in a variety of ways.

Intent to Offer

Please complete the Intent to Offer form for the Year you will starting your Diploma. There is currently one form for 2008, Gateway 1 and another for 2009, Gateway 2.

Guidance for completing the form

  • The Head of Consortia is defined as the person that has overall responsibility for the consortia as a whole.
  • The Subject leader is defined as the person that has overall responsibility for the line of learning that the form is being completed for.
  • When you list the centres involved in the consortia it is those that will be involved in the line of learning you are completing the Intent to Offer for, not the consortia as a whole.

By letting us know you intend to use Edexcel for your Principal Learning, we will give your consortia a 25% discount on Edexcel resources. You will receive a special order form with your Intent to Offer confirmation letter.

The personal touch

We aim to provide all The Diploma consortia with a named personal Curriculum Development Manager (CDM) as a first point of contact.  They will be able to either answer your questions themselves or direct you to the relevant experts.

To get in touch with your CDM, call your nearest regional office (click for full contact details):

If you have questions about the Diploma you can:

See the Contact us page for further details.

Professional development and training

We are running a comprehensive series of events dedicated to implementing the Diploma. These will be a mixture of National Launch Events, National Inset Implementation Events and the facility to arrange Consortium-Based Events. These will be  National Inset Implementation Events, but at your own consortium venue at a date that is convenient to you. We are also developing web-based training and Ask the Expert panels.

Edexcel is already leading the technological developments in educational assessment and management.  We are now further developing our systems to provide the complete technological environment for the Diploma.
