How will the consortia partners benefit?

The consortia will have the benefit of using the new paperless process system, Trident Online.  This new web-based tool will enable students to choose a placement that suits their programme of study, from the hundreds of placements available in their area.  The system is web-based, which allows those supporting the learner across the consortia, including parents, to take appropriate roles as students match their aspirations with available placements.

Benefits for students

The students are at the heart of the process and Trident recognises how important it is that their first experience of work is positive.  Trident’s aim is to help young people to improve their employability and enterprise skills.

Using an interactive means of choosing work experience is highly-motivating for students.  The ability to store placement information, whilst preparing, undertaking and evaluating, keeps paperwork to a minimum.

Edexcel is uniquely placed to offer this service to consortia.
