Environmental and Land-based Studies

The Diploma in Environmental and Land-Based Studies gives young people the opportunity to explore the environment and how land is used with a view to a sustainable future. It brings together plant, animal and environmental knowledge and skills useful to a career in the environmental and land-based sector.

Through completing the Principal Learning, Learners will:

  • investigate animal, plant and human interactions within the natural environment
  • explore how professionals work with the environment, plants and animals
  • learn the needs of plants and animals
  • discover impacts on the environment and sustainable responses
  • learn about working in an environmental and land-based industry
  • develop their team working, communication and problem solving skills.
