Hospitality

The Diploma in Hospitality teaches young people about the Hospitality industry. The employer-endorsed content is up-to-date and relevant, reflecting the blend of business, technical, interpersonal and project skills needed by someone who is thinking about a career in the Hospitality industry.

Through completing the Principal Learning, learners will:

  • investigate the hospitality industry in the UK and abroad
  • explore the importance of the hospitality industry to the UK economy and everyday lives
  • carry out customer service tasks in a healthy and safe hospitality environment
  • develop their team working, managing people, communication, problem solving and entrepreneurial skills
  • learn how to prepare, cook and serve food and beverages
  • acquire an understanding of sales and marketing concepts, business and financial principles relevant to the hospitality industry, and legislation and procedures which affect the hospitality industry.
